0 Newbury, OH Newbury, OH Full-time Full-time $19 - $25 an hour $19 - $25 an hour Independent Tree is seeking innovative & self-motivated Plant Health Care Specialists/Technicians! PHC Specialists work closely with the plant health care manager to ensure that our customers' PHC needs are met.
As a PHC Specialist, you will evaluate, monitor and treat pest and disease conditions as well as soil conditions.
You will also work closely with the sales arborists, providing critical feedback from the field and recommending the appropriate treatments to plant health care problems.
Core Responsibilities Diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental conditions Evaluate and recommend treatment options Ensure proper tank filling/mixing procedures according to product labels Perform deep root feeding, sprays, trunk injections, and other common PHC tasks Learn and understand pest/disease life cycles, plant and soil biology Perform accurate and timely record-keeping Maintain a safe and controlled work environment Adhere to company, state and local safety regulations Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment Maintain open communication with PHC manager and clients to provide feedback on plant health care issues Interact with clients in a professional manner Requirements Enthusiasm about what you do and the ability to work seasonally in a variety of weather conditions Knowledge of local trees/shrubs and knowledge of common pests/diseases Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Valid driver's license in good standing Two/four-year degree in arboriculture, Forestry/Urban Forestry horticulture (or related field) a plus Certified applicators license a plus Benefits Competitive compensation Full time, year-round employment Company-sponsored training/CEU's Paid vacation/sick days/holidays 401K Call us at 440-564-1374 or visit https:
