Geauga Savings Bank, a local Eastside community bank, is seeking an experienced Deposit Operations Representative.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing the processing of Automated Clearing House (ACH) and all other electronic transactions, including researching and resolving electronic banking issues and check adjustments; responds to all internal and customer inquiries concerning electronic transactions and on-line banking; controls the processing of all in-clearing and transit items and processes exception items; assists with new account audits, money orders, selects, and various reports.
The qualified applicant must possess, at minimum, a broad knowledge of bank deposit operations experience; revelent and current knowledge of key business processess and functions; knowledge of risks and controls as it pertains to the deposit operations area and excellent time management skills. The qualified candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi task; attention to detail and organization skills are a must with strong computer skills, such as Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Previous Teller experience helpful.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
